ABOUT US
The Literary Cafe Utah produces, convenes and offers
community, cultural, artistic, social, literature gatherings,
author's readings & poetry salons,
sacred gatherings & creative renewal retreats
in Southern Utah.
Janice Brooks, curator of “The Literary Café Utah,” is a poet maverick, word-voyager, writer and storyteller. For almost a decade, she has been both a society columnist penning “The Social Circle” and a literary columnist, penning “The Literary Café” for St. George Magazine in Southern Utah.
Known for her witty-candor and keen cultural observations, she has inspired spirited and sacred conversations (and controversy) on a range of topics. She is the mother of a political-renaissance-artistic bohemian son, and she lives in the majestic red mountain of Ivins, Utah with her husband, and a tribe of nomadic gypsy godchildren.
